Rapid Racer Products ProGuard bolt On V2 front mudguard

RRP ProGuard Bolt-On V2 brings additional benefits to the already successful Bolt-On range. 

RRP has a heritage in racing mountain bikes in the UK and the team behind the brand ride in all weathers. Their attention to detail and passion for riding has helped develop a product ideally suited to British riding conditions. The range is designed, manufactured and packaged here in the UK. 

Version 2 brings all of the features from V1 with a redesigned bolt-on bracket which means it's compatible with more forks, has increased bottom out clearance and is now available in Max protection size offering even more protection.

• Bolt-on bracket centre recess offers more top CSU bottom out clearance and angled side reliefs enhance this. 
• The bracket front recess and increased bolt slot lengths allows for greater height adjustability.
• 2mm wider overall mudguard for more tyre coverage.
• Larger Seal Shield for even more fork seal protection.
• Much larger 'Super Tacky' rubber pads for incredible stability allowing for longer Max protection size.
• New material increases stiffness slightly without reducing impact protection or durability. 
• Weights - Max 137g, Standard 121g and Mini 94g

DESIGN FEATURES IN MORE DETAIL

RUBBER PADS

The sides of the mudguard are flared out to contact and hold onto the fork to create massive stability and protect you forks. RRP recommend that these be clearned regularly and replaced when a refresh is necessary. They’re available as part number RRP-PGBO2ST.

BOLTS

All of RRP’s bolts are custom designed by the brand for maximum clamping stability, uniformity, and the most secure fit (only one 3mm allen key needed) as off the shelf options did not meet the high standards required by the brand for the ultimate fit. The following bolts come supplied in the packaging:

• M3 x 2 (FOX / MARZOCCHI)
• M4 x 3 (OHLINS)
• M6 x 1 (SR SUNTOUR)

The following bolts come with some adapter brackets listed below (purchased separately):

• M3 EXTRA LONG x 1 (ZEB / DOMAIN / LYRIK / PIKE ADAPTER BRACKETS) - RRP-PGBOM316
• M4 LONG x 1 (RXF34 FITTING KIT & DVO DIAMOND) - RRP-PGBORXF34 / PGBODVOB

TILT BRACKETS

We have included two TILT BRACKETS that just clip onto the front of the bracket allowing you to raise or lower the front for a better angle if needed.

Additional adapter brackets are available for a wide range of forks. We recommend that you check the compatibility chart to get the perfect setup. 

ALLEN KEYS

Only one long 3mm Allen Keys is needed for all our custom bolts and self-tappers which is provided in the v2 packaging

STICKER INDENT

The centre indent is a nice easy reference to apply our coloured stickers to, this indent also prevents the sticker from sitting proud on the surface of the guard which would leave it vulnerable to durability issues. The adhesive used is very special and super strong and can be jet washed.

SEAL SHIELD

Our widely acclaimed Seal Shield offers greater protection for your fork seals from high velocity mud and spray lengthening service intervals

MATERIAL

We make our mudguard material thicker than the competition out there which together with our unique polypropylene mix allows massive impact protection, flexibility, and importantly cold weather durability and strength.

NB: If you don’t like the gloss highlights then spray the mudguard with GT85 and rub, this will remove the high gloss finish
