Fast, Supple and Built for Real UK Gravel
When Vittoria sent us a sample of the new Vittoria Terreno PRO T60 Mixed, we wanted to know one thing:
Does a sustainable gravel race tyre actually perform in real UK conditions?
On paper, the Terreno PRO range is impressive — made from 92% renewable and recycled materials and designed specifically for competitive gravel racing.
But around here in the Lake District, tyres don’t get an easy ride.
So we fitted them up tubeless and took them out on proper mixed terrain — hardpack lanes, loose slate, damp bridleways and rocky descents.
Here’s our honest review of the Vittoria Terreno PRO T60.
What Is the Vittoria Terreno PRO T60 Designed For?
The Terreno PRO T60 sits in the middle of the Vittoria Terreno PRO range.
Within the Terreno lineup you have:
T10 – Hardpack
T30 – Fine loose
T50 – Mixed
T60 – Mixed / dependable mixed terrain
The T60 is aimed at riders who want a fast gravel tyre that can handle varied terrain without stepping into aggressive, draggy tread territory.
It’s labelled as a gravel race tyre — and it rides like one.
First Impressions – Setup & Ride Feel
Mounting tubeless was straightforward, and straight away the casing felt supple in the hand.
Out on the road and smooth gravel, the Terreno PRO T60 rolls quickly. It carries speed effortlessly and doesn’t feel draggy when pushing on.
What stood out most was the ride quality.
The organic cotton casing gives it a supple, forgiving feel over chatter, but it doesn’t collapse when loaded into corners. You get comfort without losing support.
That balance is rare.
Mixed Terrain Performance in UK Conditions
We rode the T60 on:
- Hardpack farm lanes
- Loose slate transitions
- Damp bridleways
- Rocky Lakeland descents
On mixed terrain, it feels fast and confident both on and off road.
The V-formation tread pattern and balanced spacing give predictable cornering. Braking feels controlled rather than sketchy. It’s quick without feeling nervous.
For UK gravel riding — where terrain constantly changes — that consistency matters.
Where the Terreno PRO T60 Has Limits
Let’s be realistic.
This isn’t a mud tyre.
On deep, sloppy ascents it doesn’t dig in like a more aggressive gravel or MTB tread would. If you’re riding winter bogs or seeking out technical rock gardens, there are better tools for that job.
On technical boulder descents, it rewards sensible lower pressures and good line choice.
But that’s the point.
The Terreno PRO T60 is a race-focused mixed gravel tyre. If you’ve chosen it, you’re probably prioritising speed and efficiency over extreme terrain capability.
Used as intended, it performs exceptionally well.
Sustainability – Does It Compromise Performance?
This is where the Vittoria Terreno PRO range genuinely stands apart.
The Terreno PRO T60 is made from 92% renewable and recycled materials, including:
- Fair Rubber® certified natural rubber
- Soybean oil
- Rice husk silica
- Organic cotton casing
- Recycled nylon sourced from discarded fishing nets
- Natural latex puncture layer
It’s also produced in a CarbonNeutral® certified factory.
And crucially — it doesn’t feel like a compromise tyre.
You’re getting a fast, confident gravel race tyre while reducing environmental impact.
If you’re comparing the T60 to other mixed-condition gravel tyres on the market, here’s how we’d summarise it:
- Faster and more race-oriented than many “all-round” tyres
- Less aggressive than true mud or coarse gravel options
- More performance-focused than general endurance gravel tyres
- Strong sustainability credentials compared to most competitors
If your riding is predominantly mixed hardpack and loose gravel with occasional technical sections, the T60 hits a very sweet spot.
